Clemson undefeated, should be #1. Michigan State defeated tougher teams than Alabama and should be #2, but that really does not matter. They will play each other no matter who is 2 and who is 3. Oklahoma played in what we now know is a weak conference and had one less win so they get the #4 rank.

Clemson may win against Sooners, but they were screwed by the draw. I still don't believe the Tide to be a 2 seed based on the SEC East being so weak and no one else in the SEC West has fewer than 2 losses.

So it didn't matter how bad Bama and MSU looked yesterday??????? Just the fact that they "participated" made ALL the difference in the world. That looks like the case. Sad. Participation trophies for everybody who played yesterday. Stanford looked better than both Sparty and Bama. I guess that doesn't mean anything either.

It is a clear disadvantage for the teams in the Big 12 to not have a conference championship game and yes, it should be a strike against them until they get their shit together and get two more teams in. And yeah, I personally don't think the Big 12 should be considered for the playoff until they do this. It's not fair to everyone else who has to play another big matchup. You can make specific arguments like "oh so Alabama playing Florida was a big time matchup, yeah right" but it's the principle of the matter. If OU loses their conference championship game this year then Stanford is in, so if I'm Stanford I'm pissed. It's not fair to everyone else that the Big 12 gets to sit on their ass a week early.
