    Why do you get more points in a football teaser than a basketball teaser when there are far less points scored in a football game? Is it because scoring is less infrequent and happens in bigger chunks at a time?



    Never play teasers. Just wondered.

      I have wondered this as well. Tease nfl and sometimes cfb, but never basketball as a result.

              Understood, but there are also 4 times as many points scored in a typical NBA game, right? Seems weird that teases are worth more points in football considering that.

                  Right but I would imagine a greater percentage of nba games are decided by, say, 10 points or fewer than nfl games.

                      Interesting debate.

                      I wonder which sport has their games landing closest to the number. You would think it would easily be football, which means we should get more points in basketball.

                          It's always been like that No Coin...I really don't know why you get less points with basketball teasers but like Wizz said I think it might have something to do with a TD being worth 6pt and a bucket 2...and somehow the frequency of scoring in those respective sports plays a role in the formula...I've always been partial to 13PT in football and 10PT in basketball teasers...it's almost like taking candy from a baby!...I've had lots of success doing them as I have posted on my football thread...a shitload of points and Heritage gives the best payout odds in the industry on these type of wagers...
