Totaled the car tonight

Heavy rain and wet leafs, aquaplaning got me.
180 spin with no traction whatsoever, crashed into the barrier like a motherfukker.
Couldn't care less about the car though, girlfriend was in it with me and we both are safe and well. Got lucky as hell and very glad about it.
Always be safe people, even when you are in total control, you suddenly might not be.

Ya, that shit is rough. Some lady pulled out in front of me on the highway, hit the bitch going 75 mph, didn't even have time to break. The worst experience of my life, without my airbag and seat belt I would have easily died. Destroyed the front end of the car. The helpless feeling in the few seconds before impact is definitely scarey.

Normally yeah, of course. Full comprehensive insurance is going to cost them quite a bit.... But then again, they'll think twice if they want to lose the business of insuring 7 cars (plus a few houses etc). If they insist on going up with my insurance, we all will cancel our insurances there. Doesn't hurt, that I know the guy personally as well. We'll see in the next few days.
Got myself a BMW 3 GT now for the next few months until I decide what to do. Color sucks, but was the best thing standing there right now, will get it later when the paperwork is done.

Yeah man, shit is in total slow-mo before impact. You know exactly what's going to happen and can't do anything. Definitely scary, and one of the reasons I am very happy it ended the way it did.

Luckily we all walked away despite rolling 3 times without seatbelts and only injury being the chick in the passenger seat leaving a face shaped crack in the windshield. Auto accidents are def scary sht glad the OP and his woman are ok.

And damn Gummo.... That's terrible. Very sorry to hear that. I am a big fan of cars and driving. Love it. But sometimes it gets you thinking... that each and every time you get inside your car might be the last one. That's why I'm a big fan of "never leave angry" when it comes to the loved ones. You might have had an argument and you might still be angry, but always make sure to leave on good terms. Same as I remember not returning a call earlier this year from one of my beat friends and later I couldn't do it anymore because he was dead the next day.


Anyways, enough of the sad shit!

Sidenote: paperwork for my new car during the winter is done, silver 3er Gran Turismo. (Funny sidenote: same car my grandfather had for one year until he decided he feels to old for it. Was standing there for a few months now at my uncles shop and I decided to take the opportunity for now. Will decide next year which car I really want.)
Another funny sidenote: the day before I totaled the car, I visited my aunt for a coffee. While there, her 81-year-old mother in law touched my car while trying to park in. Her insurance already paid 2.5k for it today which is very welcome. The insurance for the total crash will take a few days now.
