Great move even though Vernon Davis is a shell of himself, he's still a significant upgrade to Virgil Green and Owen Daniels. The Broncos now has a good blocking tight end and the safety blanket that has been missing since Wes Welker and JT.

They were talking about trading Vernon long before the stories about him and Kaep. Either he is just no good anymore or Kaep sucks so much now that they can't use Vernon's talent. Maybe with Manning we'll find out which is true.

After Vernon got hurt a year or two ago, he lost a lot of his speed. But it has been hard to tell exactly where he is at on a team that has no clue offensively from the coach and QB.
