Its not like he is going all in with his plays.
I say bet 20K a game until you lose one and its obvious he is not gonna continue if he loses.
As a matter of fact I'd advise him to bet 3-5k even after he loses the first 20k game and if he loses another couple of games betting 3-5k then re think and do what would be best for him but for you to ask him to stop is just nonsense.Comment -

#125The best option IMO is to get an international bank account. For instance a Lloyds Bank offshore Premier International account. They offer free international transfers between euro, sterling and US dollar accounts and 24/7 worldwide access to your money through ATM, internet and phone banking. They will treat you as royalty with deposits over $100k. Get you a savings and checking account with ATMs and you will be able to withdraw $1,000/day from any ATM. But why? Keep your money there and use it whenever you want to buy a big ticket item or to pay bills. Your money never has to come into the US. You can set it up without even leaving the country. I have several friends who make money overseas. They keep that money overseas.
Another route is to fly down there and pick up your money in small increments. Bring a partner or 2 so each of you can bring in $9,999 cash. Do that 3 or 4 times and you're set. But what are you going to do with the cash? Hide it under the mattress? You're not going to be able to put it under a US account without it being reported. Get an international account.Comment -

#127He's giving good advice because most of us can tell horror stories of guys going on epic runs, swearing on their mothers grave that they will play until they lose, end up losing a big bet, then renege and promise to make 1 last big bet to get back what they just lost, only to lose that too and spiral downwards back to broke. Gambling is a disease. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you will stop. The guy that thinks he has it under control is lying to himself. You can't stop the rush/excitement of the next bet anymore than falling for a piece of pussy.
Wtf? He is on a hot streak and you want him to stop? gtfo...you strike the iron when its hot and this guy is hot.

I doubt the book will allow me to come down and get any money. Is that even a real optionComment -

#129I'd keep it under 9K/month to avoid automatic treasury inquiries. Check cashing places are -EV and the offshore companies discourage using them as they figure out the bank's fugazzi ways to get around U.S. Banking laws. This causes the offshore company to have to use different processors. I'd take over a year to pull that out and throw it into a retirement account. Great run!
Nino is as good as they come, but take it from someone that's been investigated for this practice, that this may not be sage advice, however well intended.

#134If he brings cash into the US, he should obviously not put the money in a bank account.
It also depends on his banking history. I use to routinely run that type of money in a few accounts, years ago. The bank reported the transactions but they were all legit. Early on, I use to have bank holds of up to 2 weeks but later, I could easily cash a $50k check back then with no hold times. I'm not even sure they reported every transaction over time because I use to get a note saying it was reported and over time I never got it again. A $100k deposit wouldn't raise a red flag. I couldn't do it today though.
During that time, I would also win and lose big money ($30k here, $50k there) in the casinos. The casino's very rarely reported the wins (especially on table games) and I never filed them with the IRS (I was always prepared to show losses if questioned). I remember one time I was up about $30G's on blackjack and I cashed out without a blink but I hit a slot machine for like $2k and they had me fill out all kind of shit. haha
Best bet is to report the windfall, pay the taxes, or bring it in increments and stash it under the bed, or buy some property internationally or get an international bank account (which makes the most sense) that is never linked to the US. You made the money overseas, and you keep it overseas. Take out cash at any ATM...
BTW - Don't even think about West ern Un ion. I know a guy that did time wiring drug money to his momma. You don't want the feds to get involve.
I haven't read the entire thread but be very careful with this advice, anyone in banking knows that banks and the gov't have honed in on this practice and are freezing entire accounts, and for amounts much smaller the 9k. It's not that simple anymore.
Nino is as good as they come, but take it from someone that's been investigated for this practice, that this may not be sage advice, however well intended.

#135If you want to make a trip to Costa Rica... ??
but the best route IMO, if I was you would be to get the international account. Look here
Get the account setup and send the checks there. Done. Any money you bring into the US, report it as you go. Perfectly legal. Talk to any expat.

#138Wow
Amazing
3 years ago I hit 21 straight bets and did not win anywhere near this type of money because I was betting small. $100 a play. I hit 21 in a row....
What would you advise if I run on a streak like that again? Just keep doubling the bet every play?Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -
