Harbaugh could've considered going for it instead to burn more clock instead he gambled on a punt where anything can go wrong punter obviously wasn't thinking in the moment. What a terrible way to lose for Michigan but they've already exceeded all expectations its not the biggest loss though their playoff hopes mite take a hit.

Pretty much every time I have ever seen a kicker/punter with a botched snap/catch who try to make an athletic play
they screw the pooch.
Every single one of those plays would have been better off falling on the ball.

Garo Yapremian (sp?) comes to mind.

IDK, but if I was the special team/ kicking coach in a major university, I might have my players understand situational football.

So many other options to do in that situation. QB could of just aired one DEEP... could of wasted at least 5-6 seconds. Clock would of had 4-5 seconds left. 1 Play left.

I think coaches worry about defensive fouls giving the offense extra plays. Probably why Harbaugh wanted to punt.

wouldnt call him cocky. Has played well all season other than when he tried running for a 1st down on a punt that wasnt the play call. They give him the option to run with the rugby style. Booted one 80 yards today using this style
