A bad opener by the books wouldn't move this late. Something happened, I'm waiting for an answer too.

The over/under is moving downward too. Something is going on.

I think that would move the line the other way.

Sharp betting syndicate placed boatloads of "decoy" money on Michigan to drive the price up to -10. Now that it's there, they will come back and hammer Northwestern, getting the new inflated number, and laugh all the way to the bank. Expect it to dip back to 7 by game time.

When the spread on a game with a total of 34 moves 3 points, that is a HUGE red flag.

Some books actually opened the line at Michigan -9.5 very early. Line going back where it started. But... extremely heavy money on Northwestern. ML and Side

For betting purposes the lines do mean something, but not for who is covering and who SHOULD be the number 1 team in the country

I should probably say something here...
I don't know how to tell you this, but I don't even wear contacts. I do own a pair of cheap sunglasses, but I can't say with any measure of confidence that they'd be any use in sussing out line movements.

I use sunglasses with bifocals, with mixed results.

When was the last time the #13 ranked team in the nation was +10? This could be the bet of the century.

I just wear 3D glasses, acquired from a box of cereal, and stare at the sun until I can't feel my retinas anymore. I then pierce my flesh with a sharpened crayon... if the blood dribbles, I bet the chalk. If it trickles, I bet the dog.
This has been my method for years. Win some, lose some.

I tried that but the call between dribbles and trickles is so subjective.

You're obviously not using a sharpened crayon then. Newbs always make the mistake of employing a pencil or a pinhead, in which case the line between a dribble and a trickle becomes blurred. To make the distinction more apparent, get yourself a box of crayons. The shades of blue tend to work best. I personally opt for "ocean skyline" if available. Sharpen it with a straight edge, but not too far past where the paper is. You'll need a firm grip, and thus, a reasonable length on the crayon shank if you intend to plunge it into your torso to draw blood.
You're welcome.

A pencil or a pinhead? They obviously have no predictive value. You have obviously not seen my beat up crayola sharpener in my 120 crayola collection box. i have do admit I am out of bluish colors, maybe that's the problem?

My rib cage is riddled with the tell-tale signs of my handicapping process... little blue track marks everywhere. I try not to be too self-conscious about it, as I know it's helped me win money along the way. But if I'm at the pool or something, and somebody asks, I just tell them that I'm a gambler. A lot times they'll just walk away without further inquisition. If they don't, however, I'll take a long drag of my cigarette and exhale the smoke in their face. That usually does the trick.

Well you have to read the room. You can tell them they are war wounds or childhood abuse, or both if you have a particularly gullible subject.

Don't judge. Everyone arrives at their decision via a different route. Some use stats, trends, algorithms, lucky charms... I stare at the sun and poke myself with crayons. How exactly is your system better than mine?

I must say that this bet was made from a very blue and extremely sharp crayon that was extremely sharp and definitely trickled. it's actually still bleeding.

Well I'm not sorry. I'll put my record up against this DOM Toretto clown's any day of the week, including weekends. He's probably your typical number cruncher who'll never know the joy of picking winners slumped under a bridge with a box of crayons.

So nice to know that without continuing bodily injury.
