        Vols fans, no patience.

Some of the most dedicated fans out there, but notorious for being fans you don't want to try to please, because it's impossible.

No I'm easy to please, just don't blow double digit leads two weeks in a row, and then lose to a horrible Arkansas team when you've had two top 10 recruiting classes. Guy just doesn't have the IQ to get to the top so instead of delaying the inevitable, just axe him now.

Guy has the same record has Derek Dooley through the first three years, but the thing is, he has had much better talent on his teams.

Could you imagine Mark Richt & Butch Jones getting together for a BIG meeting? Nobody would be prepared for it. One of them would be late, one would use all his bathroom breaks before lunch, Butch would use shenanigans to trick Mark into thinking there was really peanut butter in that can...Mark would actually fall for it. And good luck trying to wrap up and finish the meeting

He had the IQ to get there with Cincy and CMU, both in a short amount of time. He at least has a realistic track record. More than I can say for Dooley.

A lot of that talent is still very young. Young teams blow leads far more often than upperclassmen. I'd say give him one more year before you guys famously run him out.

How long can he use the "we're young" excuse? Florida had a freshman QB, 2 freshman OLineman and a freshman WR on their winning TD catch.

                        No excuses.

This is what I'm talking about with Vols fans. He was given a shitty team by SEC standards. If you don't come in, completely overhaul a bad team, and start beating elite SEC teams, you're getting run out at UT. This is why you're never getting a big name coach to come in and coach there. Cuonzo Martin mentioned this when he left too.

Jon Gruden, Bill Belichek, and Vince Lombardi aren't walking through that door. This program is not as desirable as it thinks it is. You're never getting a top-level coach -- they don't want to coach there. You're going to have to give guys like Jones and guys just like him a chance, learn to be patient, and actually see the positives for once. This guy is the best chance you're gonna get for awhile.

I feel really bad when Notre Dame loses - Nebraska loses - USC loses. Totally get saddened when Alabama could possibly lose 2 in a row.

Oh, that broke my heart when Michigan had some tough times. And Texas that is just rough.

Where does the Tennessee coach rank as far as salary? In the top 10?

Jon Gruden, Bill Belichek, and Vince Lombardi aren't walking through that door. This program is not as desirable as it thinks it is. You're never getting a top-level coach -- they don't want to coach there. You're going to have to give guys like Jones and guys just like him a chance, learn to be patient, and actually see the positives for once. This guy is the best chance you're gonna get for awhile.
Dont lump us all together lol. I love Butch and he is doing a great job with Doooley leaving the program in shambles. I'm in no rush here. Our program hasn't won in a long time and these kids just have to learn to get over the hump along with the coaching staff. It will happen. And I completely agree, we run people out of town like we did with Martin. How many teams from the big time conferences have lost a coach after making the sweet 16? Probably just us lol

These things take time. Take a look at how many red shirt seniors some of the upper echelon teams have. The big uglies take a little longer to get bigger and stronger than their opponents. It is not just about the coach - a coach needs to develop the talent. Have the offensive and defensive creativeness. Keep everybody healthy and eligible. 10 good freshmen isn't enough to turn a program around.

This line is screaming trap. Why the hell is it just 3? Why is it not moving? Tennessee is a fukking dumpster fire but that line is a setup.
