MLB: You Know What Sucks About Tonight's Game? (Wednesday)
Line opened up at basically 110/110. Some books were doing the 120/+100 (Chi Favored)

Line blows up to -135 at some spots.

A lot of problems I have about this game... but my point is...

Can you see the unbelievable playoff lineup if Chicago Wins Tonight? WOW!

A young Houston team is in it...

Another young Chicago team with Joe Maddon leading the way...

A Powerful Toronto Blue Jays squad top to bottom

Kansas City is back in it... (like we all thought they would) hungry to go all the way.

Does Pittsburgh even have a prayer tonight? I really don't think MLB wants them in it. Look at all the story lines if the CUBS win tonight. This is probably the perfect MLB playoff bracket I've seen in a LONG LONG LONG time.

And I simply can't lay the juice on Arrieta. That's what sucks about tonight.

    Give me some feedback guys.

Does MLB want Pittsburgh in it??

Marty McFly may have witnessed what he thought was an impossible reality in "Back to the Future 2," but there's a chance that what he saw may become a real-life outcome. In the film, McFly travels into the future, where he is surprised to learn that the Chicago Cubs have won the World Series over Miami in the year 2015."Being a baseball fan, I thought, 'OK, let's come up with one of the most unlikely scenarios we can think of,'" co-writer of the film Bob Gale told the Daily Herald's Christopher Placek. If the Cubs can defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League wild-card game on Wednesday, it will be the first step towards making the film's once absurd prediction a realism."... We'll do our best to make sure that happens," Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta, who starts Wednesday, told Placek. The Cubs haven't won a World Series since 1908.

It's a business. Sad but true. What story lines would we have for Pittsburgh? They are a very good team. One of the most silent good teams we have. But no one really cares about them. Only the fans in Pennsylvania I'm sure.

It's a terrible playoff lineup. Astros v royals wtf?

                    Jays v texas????

                    Mets v lad is okay.

Cards vs pirates or cubs is good.

I liked how Houston played against New York. They deserve to be in it. Young/hungry team.

I guess MLB has been fixing Arrieta's game for the past 2 months also?

Hungry Astros or not, MLB would have wanted Yankees. But they lost.

Would MLB also prefer Cubs win? Sure. It's a better story.

But it's also irrelevant. The game is not going to be fixed.

Cubs are going to win because they have the significantly more dominant starting pitcher. Keuchel not on same level, but it shouldn't have been surprise that he'd outduel Tanaka.

Cubs are going to be stronger in years to come. They may win tonight because of Arrietta but hard to see them winning the WS. Same with Astros being stronger in next couple years. They both strikeout too much.

It will be either KC or Toronto vs NY Mets or St Louis

Baltimore tied two hands behind his back. And he drastically changed his release point. It's not as if his velocity went from 90 to 98. It hasn't changed. It's always been 95-97. Chris Carpenter also struggled for years before figuring it out.

you can't just change your release point and be unhittable. if that were the case, all the pitchers that throw heat can become unhittable.

the guy has more than 200 innings and he's stronger than ever. prior to this year he had 156 innings max.

c'mon man, i know you love the cubs but he is probably on something.

unless you're betting a few thousand i don't see there being any difference between -130 and -110. so you put down 260 to win 200 instead of 220 to win 200. big deal. if you're so certain on something than it doesn't matter. that juice will kill you playing standard bets in the long run but if you only do it once in a while a few dollars is not going to cripple you lol

AL EAST > NL CENTRAL for hitters no doubt that change alone helped him some. Same thing with the other guy that was mentioned Chris Carpenter even though he had one of the best pitching coaches in the past 30 years in Dave Duncan. I also believe there is some credence to the "he just got it" theory as well. With all of the above being said I'm taking PIT tonight seems to be the right play from where I'm sitting.

A young Houston team is in it...

This isn't the NBA or some garbage college sport.
MLB is the purest game of them all.
Umpires have very little opportunity to alter anything these days.

And by the way. Pitts will win today. Yes, even with dirtball Lakerboy on them.
