Ruder - I don't get how the Carolina - SJ game went Over 5 goals. I looked at this game from several angles and just didn't see it getting to 5. I am baffled by the number of goals in that one? Did you happen to watch the game? Thanks.
Also played Dallas tonight for 1st time and got burned. This was a total head-scratcher to me. Florida not a good road team last year and likely not this year too. Dallas has been red hot and facing a terrible goalie in Al Montoya. What the heck happened?

They aren't that bad and with so many games in the regular season a lost like that will happen more than a handful of times.

agree with everything ruder said. if you're looking specifically at the two results i might lend a little insight.

stars: i didn't bet this game for two reasons. 1. stars just returned from an incredible road trip. sometimes when a heavy fav has their first home game in awhile they come out a little flat. 2. their previous matchup was actually pretty tight. for most of that game (in florida) it looked like the panthers were going to win it. stars lost cause they didn't show up to play and panthers were a motivated bunch coming off straight losses. agree with rb that their team defense hasn't shown enough to be considered one of the top teams yet even though they have a dangerous offensive punch

car/sjs: i was thinking of taking the under also actually, instead i took car +1 which turned out to be a dud. eddie lack allowed 3 goals that should never have gone in; basic goalie problems such as controlling rebounds and covering the puck when it's in your crease.it's rare that i blame a goaltender for a loss, but he was very poor. he allowed 3 goals on 11 shots i think or something like that.

overall, ruder's comment on just riding the losses is what wins in hockey cause you have more bad beats and su dog upsets than any other sport ive seen. in 2009/2010 around 10 -300 or greater priced favourites lost su. just something to keep in mind

Roughly 40% underdogs win. Just check last season let say Edmonton. Name the teams they win as a bad team. Most of them all top teams.

And I agree with Rudeboy and Locke. I end up last season on 14 place on covers.com challenge in NHL. Good part thanks to underdogs

Believe he had a smaller loan before and paid off . Sadly Rudy was to pay 60 to Try today as weekly payment but chose to Join LT's NHL contest and take points to SBR book rather than pay his debt
