M-1 Medieval Fighting... WTF is this??
    Can we bet on this??

    Can you win by decapitation?

Why is the ref not wearing any protection?

    I have so many questions.

A few years ago there was a show that had professional jousters, there are leagues and tourneys. That was pretty cool, some of those guys got jacked up.

I wonder what the rules are.

Can they do arm bars, leg locks, pile drivers?

                I looked up the rules:

You can punch, strike, and wrestle.
The fighters have swords and shields, wear special clothing.
M-1 is currently involved in figuring out the rules for the new series of matches.
Some of the rules that have been worked out are that the swords must be blunt, and that headbutts and submission holds aren’t allowed. Neither are strikes to the back of the neck, spine, feet and ankles. If a knight happens to be knocked down, the opponent has only three strikes to finish him. M-1 plans to publish a full list of rules pretty soon.
