#41The Lions have major problems. Their o-line is pourous, they have no running game, Stafford is banged up, and they are missing their best defensive player. Lions have no pass rush, their LB's can't cover, and their secondary is shaky. They are a bad football team. Manning is going to be exploiting so many matchups and that Denver defense is going to light Stafford up.
Manning and Co have 10 days to prepare and will be in the shotgun more. Lions are a bottom 5 team.. Denver by 14+.Comment -

#43Stafford has 3 career wins against teams with a winning record.. and one of those was against the Matt Flynn led Green Bay Packers.

#47Tough gm I agree the "spot" and home dog situation look attractive. However this Detroit team is the Kc Queefs just further north = complete overrated losers. I've said for awhile Manning is shot his passes just keep getting uglier but he finds a find to get it done in reg season anyhow. That Donko defense is NASTY looking though and can flat out get after the QB making a long night for Stafford.
You can go on all you want about Kc turnovers and I agree even though they are mediocre squad protecting the ball is a strong point most wks. Let's also not overlook on flipside Denver had several bonehead flagrants which extended Queef drives that WONT happen again! Tough gm honestly but give Manning 10 days with the extra time getting this new offense in tune, treatments for his old body, and now playing in a dome again. Let's also not forget this is in a dome so no weather. Not saying he's sizzling in '88 Elway type lasers (he never could) but should only help his weak throws not dealing with any elements. Gun to head give me Donks I just don't trust Stafford or his shit team especially in primetime. If this were early gm Sunday afternoon, maybe a bit more but unlikely still lolComment -

#49All of best games completion % is concerned vs some weak generally easy to throw on defenses past several years as well GB, Aints, Bears take those out from 2011 on and yikes that closer to 50%.Comment -

#51If these stats don't prove Stafford as an over-hyped, mediocre QB- I don't know what could. It's pretty sad that the crap-ass media and sports talking-heads lead people to believe that he is a solid QB. Nothing could be further from the truth (imo).Comment -

#53That Stafford stat is off bit. I'm showing 12-35 SU vs opt. winning %>.500 since 2009. Season 2013 is off to what was reported and I found a missing game in 2012. Didn't check the rest. Nonetheless still amazing.Comment -

Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions, ribs, (P): Stafford took a beating under center last week and it definitely left a mark -- on his chest. Stafford’s injury -- described as bruised ribs -- resulted in soreness, wincing, guarded movement and an overall appearance of someone in significant discomfort. He underwent X-rays but the results have not been shared. What has been shared is that Stafford participated in full practices daily and has apparently shown enough to be listed as probable for Sunday night’s game. While his readiness to take the field and face contact so soon is impressive, it will be even more impressive if he can both be effective and last all four quarters. Rotation in particular can be challenging with any type of chest injury, whether it involves the muscles that attach to the chest and abdomen, the cartilage that adjoins the ribs to the sternum or the ribs themselves and trunk rotation is essential for throwing. Not to mention, Stafford will face a ferocious Denver pass rush Sunday night that will no doubt try to remind him his ribs are still sore.Comment -

And don't get started on the defense. Without Levy, we can't cover RB/TEs, which basically opens up the field for everyone. Rivers had a field day against us.Comment -
