Really dude? I do win and morte than most but if i had to do it all over again i wouldn't waste all this time doing it because it does take a tremendous amount of time. I paid my dues as a shitty capper when i was younger. I call it my college tuition but is it really worth it?

Good post, and let me add, it's not just about winning. I just was talking about this with someone the other day. It's about winning more than you could make at whatever job you have.

I used to bet year round, had a model and was constantly tweaking it, I was making more money by betting than I would've working in the warehouse at Service Merchandise. Do it was woeth it.

Once I became a paramedic, it was close to even so I did both.

But once I became a nurse, gambling couldn't provide me anymote with the type of money my job could. Plus, I didn't have bad stretches in my job, I just always had a job, and was earning vacation time and going on 2-week vacations while being paid.

So winning is relative and should be compared against whatever you're able to earn elsewhwre.

Rudy, I swear on my life I quit gambling last year and I've lightly relapsed the last two weeks and let me tell you it's honestly not worth it. When I quit I weighed in at 295 pounds and I now weigh 227 less than a year later. I'm at that point where people are starting to ask how much weight I've lost, I feel healthy, more athletic and flexible and you should short sell Trojan because I'm going to be penetrating like a racehorse shortly.

In my relapse I've learned one valuable thing...even when I win I really don't win. You sit there, wasting the day watching this nonsense. The casino is even worse (I won $1,600 and I'm saying that.) because all the old behavior came rushing right back. Buffet, smoking cigs and bud, few beers, stressing over being down $400, asking myself why I'm there, late night meal afterwards, don't hit the gym the next day.

I'm happier without it. Perfect example is my bet on the Rams today, I wanted to break my television when they coughed up an 11 point lead late. I could have been outside all day today on a beautiful day but I chose to douche it out sitting here eating ribs and watching football. While that was "real living" a year ago I feel fat and lazy today. Everything in moderation but you know it never works that way.

Give it an honest try if you're being serious. Cold turkey is always best. Good luck and maybe you were joking but hopefully somebody reads this and it hits home.
