Illinois sucks and outperformed their level of talent last year. They only won a single game by double digits (Week 14 @ Northwestern).

Kent State probably under-performed what they are capable of. They return 18 starters including 10 guys on D. Managed to hang with a number of teams as good if not better than Illinois (NIU, Ohio, Toledo, Bowling Green, Akron).

Having said all this, Kent is a bad MAC team playing a bad Big Ten team. Since 2004, Kent has played 7 games against the Big 10.

They are 0-7 and they only scored in 3 of those games. The average score in those 7 games? 43-3 for the big ten team.

On a side note, they did beat a ranked rutgers team in 2012 but this was when Rutgers was part of the big east so I am not counting this. Why the hell are they even in the Big10 anyways? Whatever that doesn't matter.

They're both offensively capable against this level of competition but couldn't stop a decent highschool team. I am being hyperbolic, but they both suck on D.

Not seeing anything I like on this Friday card. But, for shits and giggles I put 5 on every under to win 140 and some change. This 5 won't make or break me but it will entertain me until Saturday when the real fun starts. Still researching tomorrows match-ups as of now. Any of you got any solid locks for Saturday?

Was going to take my Tide at -10.5 but the line has moved a whole 2 points up to -12.5 now. Wisconsin is one dimensional going up against a Bama front 7 that is being touted to be the best D-line in the nation. With Wisky not having a passing attack that can back Bamas D up I don't see them scoring much. But, with Bama breaking in a new starter on a big stage, I see Bama playing a ground game as well. I just can't convince myself to play this matchup either way. Thoughts?
