#4Blackjack is your better chance, but it moves a lot faster than Pai Gow. If you have a pretty limited bankroll and want to last, then Pai Gow would be better. If you can sweat out some bad streaks and have a lot to work with, then go for Blackjack.Comment -

#6definitely sums the two up well..... which is why my wife plays pai gow while i play poker at the casinos; hard to bust out in pai gow ever, as your basically 50-50 vs dealer, and can hit the bonuses occasionally to go up........ hard to get on any kind of run in pai gow.... it's easy to play, but boring as shit in my view..... you're never gonna get rich playing pai gow.Comment -

#10I was up $20k in AC a few years ago playing craps and we were about to leave. My buddy wanted to play some Pai Gow before we left so I sat down with him. I lost 22 consecutive hands at $200 per hand before I quit. Not even a single tie! Good thing I wasn't pressing or I would have given it all back. Haven't played a hand of Pai Gow since that day.Comment -

the only thing more rigged, and statistically proven, was last year when the dumb fuks at SBR forgot to reset the winner and person who would knock out the prick in the Saturday beat hte prick poker tourney with a bounty on the prick, such that the same two bungholes did exactly that in back to back weekends......
odds were 1/20+ million that such a thing could happen..........

#12I won 12 straight hands of BJ at the Wild Wild West a couple weeks ago. 45 mins before that I had 4 BJs in a row pulled on me.
I've never lost 22 straight hands of pai gow. My guess is The statistical probability of that happening is in the tens of millions

#21Pai Gow tiles actually has a minuscule +EV for the player when banking and playing optimal strategy. So if you are prepared to do an extraordinary amount of work to memorize strategy and find a game that lets you bank then that's your best shot at winning.Comment -

#26When doing a guys trip to the casino, Pai Gow is my go to if I go up quickly at the craps/poker table and want to kill time while the others are still playing their games. One of the local casinos gives you a free meal after only 30 minutes of play so I just play for an hour and usually end up around even most of the time; then go eat to kill more time while trying not to give up my winnings.Comment -

#34Depends on the house rules. In many Vegas casinos, this isn't the case these days. Even with perfect basic strategy the house will have the edge because of their shitty rules.
For instance, the whole 6/5 payout for blackjacks. Those never existed 20 years ago. Now most of the tables under $25 on the Strip pay 6/5.
One of the reasons I prefer to play at Stations or Boyd properties these days.Comment
