    Great horse, horrible sperm.

As a Giants fan having played them both back to back. I think the Pirates are the better team. 4 games better in 40 games? I think they gotta shot.

Pirates bats come back down to earth soon

      starting pitching is already struggling

I think they play .500 ball the rest of the way

who starts for Cubs in that WC game? Lester or Arrieta?

Arrieta has already gone 12 innings over his career high and is on pace to go 227 Innings this year

which would be 45% more Innings than he has ever pitched

            Dead Arm?

I am a 99.9% Pirate fan over the Cubs in that game

12 years in chi town, will make me at least happy that if the Bucs lose, that I would WANT it to be the Cubs if it was anyone.

The Pirates are good Archie, they have a great bullpen. They would be deadly in a 5 or 7 game series. I would really hope they win the division (I think they can), as you know a 1 game playoff anyone can win.

                    yeah exactly

                    the bullpen IS great

the starting pitching is failing even Cole has been just decent for awhile.

the 1 game WC is scary going up against someone like Kershaw, MadBum, Arrietta or Lester

when your top starter is 1-4 with a 3.55 era and .271 BAA against sine rge break

Worse spot for pirates is if they have shot at division last week of season---they spend it all---have nothing left for one game wildcard.

There is zero evidence or reason to believe dead arm for Arrieta. Depending on schedule and matchups, most likely it would be Arrieta.

going from a career high of 156 innings to 220+ possibly and then pitching in the playoffs?

i'm going to say there is a CHANCE

There's always a chance, but I'm not too concerned. Guy's in peak shape and has repeatable mechanics.
