So I just got back from my walk around the block. Edgar was sitting on his veranda and eating mango. He offered me a piece of his mango, and even though it looked pretty juicy and ripe, I politely declined as I was more interested in more important things. As we finished congratulating each other on last nights win I asked him for another play. He grabbed my arm tightly and looked at me directly in the eyes and said have you ever heard about Martingle. At first I thought he was referring to our mailman Martin Hagel. After clarifying his slurred speech I began to realize he was referring to a system in gambling we are all aware of. He said the Blue Jays have won 11 games in a row and they will be favored from here on out so what we do is we bet against them every single game until they lose and we double up our bet to ensure a profit. So tomorrow we will bet $100 on the Yankees to win. If they lose the next day we will bet $200 again on the Yankees to win. We will continue this pattern until we are all eating juicy mangos
