Chardy had lost 5 in a row before coming here to Montreal. Wasn't impressed beating 2 grass court players in Mayer and Mahut.

Karlovic is a serve god, he ousted the home town favorite raonic in straight sets last night. Chardy won't be able to break him on hard, you might see tie breaks but he beat another big hitter in Raonic 7-1 7-1 in last nights tie breaks. Karlovic is in good form he made it to the round of 16 at wimbledon then went to a final in Newport right after.
