Kenny Lofton will never get in?

Lofton has the 10th best WAR. ALL TIME.

    Jeter career OBP: .377

    Lofton? .372

        ALL TIME.

Advanced baseball stat that accounts for offense, defense, base running etc.

I know what WAR means, you just didn't say it was based on centerfielders in your opening post.

          It was a bit misleading.

Yankees are easier to get in HOF than players having similar stats playing for no big name teams like Indians.

Bar been set way too high for Lofton's numbers, He'd prob make a Hall of Pretty Good if there was one.

Jeter would have had to wait as long as Biggio did if he had been drafted by the Astros.

Again, to those who say Lofton was not quite good enough for the Hall, he's statistically the 10th best center fielder ever.

The 10th best center fielder ever won't get into the Hall Of Fame but Jeter will go in on the first ballot. That just ain't right.

WAR is a garbage stat and Jeter is probably the most over-rated player in the history of the game.

For those that don't like WAR:

Jeter's career wOBA (weighted On Base Average): .360

                                Lofton: .352

One guy will go into the Hall first ballot. The other will never get in.
