He's a fantastic player, but he's absolutely not the best player right now. He's top 10, MAYBE cracks the top 5. Goldschmitt, Trout, Harper, Miguel Cabrera (once he comes back) - teams would all rather have these player on their team rather than Donaldson.

But yes, he's very good this year.

yeah i mean i agree with you but still, to be the best hitter in a lineup with Bautista, Encarnacion (now maybe not Tulo, although I'd still put Josh over him for now) and all those other guys, you gotta be real good.
