#2I doubt it
Fantasy also much more popular than regular sports betting because it brings causal fans in and its cheaper to get in gameComment -

#3Large casino groups want all the action they can handle and they already have the infrastructure in place to accept sports bets worldwide. It's not only additional revenue but gets their brand out there for new customers to their bricks and mortar locations.Comment -

#4Nice article SJ. I think we're a ways off but I look forward to the day when I can hit my TV remote and place a bet on credit with my cable provider.Comment -

#7That's true but to dismiss any overlap would be erroneous. But that doesn't really address the point at hand. It's one form of legalized online sports gambling versus another that has been outlawed in the U.S. It is hypocritical and the merits of the argument are ludicrous from it being stigmatized as sinful by the holy rollers (yet Bingo nights in churches remain a steady revenue source for parish churches across the country) to a blight on professional sports (we see how that has decimated the popularity of soccer).
The point I am making is the striking similarity between the two yet they are treated completely differently. I find it peculiar at best and hypocritical at worst.Comment -

#8Not really, hang around the fantasy chat rooms, the fantasy players all bet the games too, and they apply the same logic we use in their betting.
I actually think those who play fantasy sports are better handicappers than those who do not.Comment -

#11Most recreational gamblers bet everything including fantasy sports, poker, horses, pit games, and sports. It just depends on availability and accessibility.Comment -
