He's #6 in my opinion, after Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Luck and Brees. With that being said, he got heavily overpaid.

because nothing says highly over paid than leading your team to back-to-back superbowls, right?!...where would the Seahawks be without him?!...not in the playoffs and barely a .500 team with backup QB Tavaris Jackson that's where...IMO, money well spent...if they didn't lock him up, rest assured some other team would have...

I was hoping RW would end up as a free agent in 2 1/2 years after being tagged twice. Imagine the bidding war!

Obvious NFL is lacking serious consistent qb talent if they are willing to pay cam and Wilson this much

exactly right, slacker...that is why the Seahawks had to make sure they signed him at any cost...and the thing about RW is you don't have to worry about his work ethic...dude is a flat out stud that is dedicated to winning...and he will always give 100%...Lack of effort and motivation won't be a problem with a true leader like him...

Wilson is a far better example of what I said. He is truly mediocre talent at best. In this league tho that will actually put you in the top half which is pathetic

The majority of Seahawks success, comes from LoB & Beast Mode. RW w/ Kearse, Baldwin and other WR/TE's, is a significantly smaller portion of their success. It's true, that Seattle O-Line is poor and Kearse, Baldwin and other WR/TE's, aren't even top 15 in the league. I didn't include Graham, since he hasn't been on a Seahawks roster till this year.
What makes Russell Wilson really good, is his ability to play a role of a mobile QB very, very good.
Now, if you compare Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Luck and Brees to Russell Wilson in terms of 1.) reading the defense, 2.) passing, Wilson is definitely not on their level. This is a biggest reason actually, why he got overpaid.

Don't forget guys unless you throw 30 td's and 10 ints ints year you are no good. When y win with no name receivers you are overpaid. Funny public perception. People living in the fantasy sports thing too much.

Point taken but my comment is intended to say that although Wilson is good put him on Ten or Jac and there would be no thought of him being paid this highly.

Yes- I agree that the QB is the most important element with great team success but lets not forget that Seattle's great results have come from great play at many positions and overall great team cohesion.

I totally agree with this. Many QB'S throughout the league are absolute dog-shit if you're counting on them to control and win games.

look at Cap #'s for QB's, That's what's important, his first 2 years after his rookie deal is up his cap number hit is 10th in the league, and they can convert some of his money into bonuses and guarantee money, which will lower his cap.......

His might be getting paid top 5 QB money, but his cap hit is 10th..............
