LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN, my bet for Open Champion
Here's how you do it boys. Didn't wanna get too crazy but, here's to Louis oosthuizen winning the open. No house bets, no lock, no eat your chocolate cake by the cabana bets. Just a simple 200$ on a parlay Adam Scott over Robert streb, and Louis oosthuizen over dunne. Add to that 100$ and change on Louis to win the open at +350.

win or lose I like this bet. Louis has won the open before and he's coming off a 2nd place at the us open. He won't feel the pressure as much as the others. Spieth has the "triple crown" to play for, day usually isn't good on links courses and tends to choke in the big moments, and I hope no one at -9 or further back has a crazy round.

So here's to good weather, good fortune and hoping that no one catches my boy Louis!

you can get Speith and Oosy at +109 on 5 dimes right now... I like Ossy to win as well, but Speith is just in the zone... also like Paddy and the Amatuer both at roughly +2000. 5 units on Speith/Oosy, a unit each on Paddy and Dunne

Well if the amateur wins I lose both those bets, so let's hope he gets a little nervous tomorrow!

Been all over Oozy both on here and elsewhere. I make a profit if he comes in top 5, beats Scott, wins it all. I just need 1 of those three to work out and it's a profit, anything more is just cake.

nice bet... Id throw $50 on Speith (+270) as a partial hedge... I really think one of the two wins it

thanks, if it was for a larger amount i would probably hedge but for $20 i'm gonna let it ride.

besides, i don't think speith is gonna win tomorrow. if tiger in his prime couldn't do it, i doubt speith will.

probably gonna come down to day vs oosthuizen. gotta give dunne some credit but hogan was the last amateur to win the open?

that was a long time ago... then again i could be wrong.

                                          His life must suck.

Flip - not crazy about doubling up on chalk (Scott / Oost) for parlay .. a lot of vig in the risk of one of those two excellent golfers having a bad day. Or what if the guys you fade grind while a guy you back is behind and unsuccessfully takes higher risk shots and drops strokes in the process... happens all the time. i like just taking Louis straight - great shot w/ decent payout.

Way more confident in that parlay. Louis has to outplay an amateur who he's paired up with in the final round of a major and Adam Scott has to out play streb who before this tournament had never shot better than par in a major. Scott is already a stroke ahead of streb so far

This, I admit is lock territory written all over it.

Again, a risk/reward concern for me. Scott is who I was thinking of. Lefty pissed a bunch of strokes away on the back nine during an impressive run - he was trying for an atmospheric long shot to win the thing. Scott may potentially do this, Streb won't.

Good luck and if Spieth can't win, I'm for Louis O. Also for the amateur, but who (besides you) wouldn't be?
