Hey Ruder. What is that you like so much about Newcastle here? I'd say that McLaren is best manager they had up there in a while and that might work out for them fine, long term. But at the moment, they simply have too many new pieces which they need to put together and wait for them to gel, imho. Tiote's absence is also pretty big. Maybe you simply like them because of those odds? They sure look like a juicy home dog.

I'm taking a punt with the Hammers. Odds are too good. Books putting to much stock in their poor EL performances, like that they cared for those games...

I like the Geordies simply because Southampton had to travel to holland in there Europa league qualification tie, Newcastle look rejuvenated which is scary a massive club with tremendous support. This could mean a tough trip for saints, I've been to Newcastle a few times once they get going that pitch will look massive.

Your right about a lot of peices however Newcastle have done some fantastic bit of business the players in have good quality, sissoko n colback still in the middle so I don't think tiote will be a big miss unless ur looking to find an excuse not to bet the home side here

Not looking for excuses at all. I just think that every team (especially in PL) needs that "junkyard dog" in the midfield to do the dirty work. Imho, Tiote is one of the best at doing that.

yes your right putting the tie to bed in the 1st leg defintely helpt them, but the traveling and preparation needed at top level sports still affects a side like southampton given there depth of squad.

its 1-1 now lets hope mitro comes on and wins it for newcastle, you need to understand for a club like southampton being without europe for so long then this being there first year back will affect there season...losing morgan & clyne was bad enough but not keeping alderweireld was massive.

the injury to forster was big but replacing him with stekelenburg was a genius move, the big blow is gardos injury..we know how hard it is to adapt to the premier league, and florin had a year under saints style...caulker has the talent though, expect them to be around 11th-9th this season.

I will be fading saints on certain spots naturally because off the toll of 4 competitions.
