Whoa! Am I the last one to find out that it's now a timed derby, not 10 misses and out? This is going to be weird. So basically they'll now just swing at every pitch and need to go as fast as possible. They're going to get exhausted and I think it's going to make for some strange watching. I think it's even worse for participants having to rush. Wouldn't surprise me if someone gets hurt. This is bad news.

It will also place a huge premium on the pitcher. It didn't matter much before because guys could take bad ones. But with it timed, bad ones are just a waste of time and energy. They will just swing at every pitch. Obviously the percentages will be much lower. I hate the new format. It's crap.

It really is a stupid idea with the timer thing. How can it be accurate. What if the pitcher is quicker pitching to certain batters. He can not pitch at the exact same time to every hitter.

I like the time change but I don't know how I feel about the time bonus. The time bonus is on if you hit one pass 420 I think. I will have to see how it plays out. I'm sure MLB is doing the same thing.

Each player gets their own personal pitcher of choosing. Of course it's not the same to every player. If the pitcher throws poorly the hitter will have no chance. Hell, the pitcher may be more important than the hitter in this format.
