Im a cubs fan and know we are having a phenomenal season as well as you guys. Its so tough to think that (in all likelihood) Cubs and Buccos will play in a 1-game playoff for right to move on. One of our great seasons is going to come to a much too short end!! Its fun to be relevant again though!

After a quick look, I found (1998 season) 294 in the AL East. That included 114 by the Yankees though.

Great post! I couldn't agree more.

I love the Wild Card, however I strongly feel that it should be at least a 3-game series.

Believe me, I'm hoping the Cardinals struggle down the stretch and they lose steam however...

It looks like it'll be Arrieta and Cole going at it at either PNC or Wrigley on Wednesday, October 7th.

Im a Giants fan just praying my beat up team scampers into the NL West division title right now over the annoying Dodgers. But do wish the wild card was a 3 game series with the higher wild card getting to host 2 games for home field. Cubs and Pirates are fun teams to watch and only 1 survives the blood bath.
