Is it just me or does this fantasy sports crap garbage. How does anybody make money doing that shit. I tried it with a little deposit. Basically you have to beat 2000 other people in a contest to make any money. How is this profitable? Do people really make money doing this. I am curious. Seems a lot easier to just bet on the game than compete with 10,000 other people trying to score points. Never again will I play that garbage.

Never have tried it. Happy with moderate sports betting and poker. Don't have time to crunch stats every day. I actually have to work a real job.

Well i personally prefer sports betting but i think if you think you believe you are good at then you should start challenging people to the head to head games

The Fan Duels and the Draft Kings of the world make their money on the rake.
It's a little high, 20 percent, but reasonable.

Now on to your question, yes people make money, if you go to Fan Duel, check out my stats, and they are out there for all to see it shows I am plus money.

You are talking about GPP's, or group contests where 100's and even 1000's are entered, those contests are what I like to refer to as lotto, where you need a perfect storm to collect major cash, and a solid effort to cash 100 dollars or so.

The serious one day players make their bank roll in what are known as cash games.
A cash game is a contest with fewer players, usually 20 or 100.

I like the 5 and 10 dollars 100 team contests myself.
At FD 100 player tounaments pay the top 12, or 12 percent (well duh)
Much easier cashing in cash games than GPP's, however the donkeys are lured into the 100000 dollar top prize in the GPP's, where like I said before you need a perfect storm to even sniff a prize like that.

Fantasy baseball is truly a game of situational stats, load up on good hitting righties facing pitchers who can not get RH bats out, vice versa.

Look for values, like Kelly Johnson tonight, dirt cheap at 2200, good hitter in a prime situation, batting prime in the order (clean up)
Braves LH hitters are a solid stack tonight.

Know this, and know this well, if you don't do your homework, you'll get eaten up alive,

Like I was saying, if you do your homework you would know LH hitters load up off of Corriea, and Kelly Johnson was the super sleeper of the night.

This isn't even in the third inning yet.
And as I proved out, Braves LH batters are going off

If you play every day, agreed.
But just like sports betting you have to pick your spots.
If there is a good card, or pool of hitters (and pitchers) you can make a profit playing 4 or 6 line ups a week, (which is the way I roll)
I know players that play 4 or 6 line ups DAILY, and wonder where their profit margin is, I tell them because you play 50 line ups a week, the juice is eating you up, just stay with minimal line up cards with strong players.

I hit the Draft Street Moon Shot for 10 K last June, that was the game Lucroy went nuts.
When Lucroy hit that second bomb, a granny, I almost shit my boxers, my wife said to me "what's up"? I told her I think that was a 10 grand granny.

in nfl sunday for instance, you could get a soft group, and turn some small profits, but again it isnt overstated enuff, there is plenty of luck in fantasy sports, just look at ur local fantasy league for instance, i bet you anything, the guy who wins the most, isnt the sharpest, in most cases..

It's too mainstream now and so many people playing because it's heavily advertised which makes it much more difficult to win
