At what point do you just get rid of your star player and start rebuilding. Aldridge is gone so you might as well try and get some pieces in return and try and save some money.

I just hope the Buss family realizes that if he wants to continue playing after this year, it will be with another franchise. Also hoping that Jimmy Buss keeps his promise to step aside in the next few years if the Lakers are bad (which of course they will be).

The good news is that the Lakers have had a lot of practice with their free agent pitch and they know what doesn't work. Hopefully they will take the constructive criticism and adjust for next year.

Whatever blackmail chip Glen Davis has leveraged against Doc his whole career probably involves Pierce. Guessing some homoerotic shower play videos with Doc have kept Big Baby in the league for almost a decade and now they've got Pierce taking a serious haircut for his final contract
