Terry Collins of the Mets on the verge of getting fired

Mets have lost 7 straight, and can't score on anyone. They are not making it public yet but realistically David Wright isn't gonna play another game this season and he will never be the same player again. They will save a ton of money if Wright doesn't play another game this year and I'm not sure why they didn't go after a guy like Uribe. Collins is saying all the wrong things in press conferences and at this point not much he can do to keep his job. Collins was seen as the caretaker manager until the Mets got at least half decent and then they would hire someone else but at this point Collins might be let go alot earlier than expected.

You're half right.
Mets started out on fire, but the manager is AWFUL.
The way he has managed these guys is horrific, particularly Granderson and Lagares.
Collins' game managing is bottom 5 in MLB easily.
He has no fire, and the team doesn't seem to respect him, it shows in their half-ass efforts night in and night out.
Bottom 3 worst offenses in MLB right now.
Harvey, Syndergard, Degrom should make you competitive, but these guys give up 1 or 2 runs and have no shot to win games half the time. It's tough when those guys start feeling they have to be perfect everytime they are out there.
Mets will not compete until the owner is forced to sell, which should happen because it's a disgrace how he's ran the franchise and not spent any money while making plenty from them, trying to make up for all his financial fuckups non baseball related.
That's not how New York franchises roll, and they need to get someone in there who actually wants to win and will spend some money on a couple huge bats instead of wasting it on mid-range scrubs like Jason Bay, Granderson, cuddyer, etc.

The bottom line is the Mets are a good manager and 2 big bats away from being contenders in the next year or 2, and with the tiny amount of money all the young arms are making, there is ZERO reason they shouldn't be adding them.
