I haven't done much surf fishing but i've always been curious about it.

couple questions.....

what did you use for bait?

and what is the best way to cook that type of fish?

Nice..........I am trying to get a crew together to go shark fishing but do not have the money nor equipment

silver spoons.... and one or two on soft plastics (norton's sand eels and red shad salt water assassins) biggest one in the box there was 23"

best way is to filet em (easy to do), salt n' pepper the filets, fire up a pan of hot grease, take the seasoned filets, roll em in cornmeal or Zataran's fish fry, put em in the grease on one side for a few mins, when you can see the edges turning golden brown (approx 3-4 mins) flip em over for another 3 mins, and you're done....

trust me, it's simple, and you can not go wrong doing what i've outlined above

also, bear, most people use "live bait", usually shrimp under a popping cork to catch specks and redfish;

sure fire live bait is free liining 2-4 inch croaker
