I posted this in Tham's thread but instead of the link, I thought I'd copy it to be considered here...
This is a little known course. Very few players, and none of the top players, have experience here. This is also a tricky, uneven course with, as far as I know, uneven tee boxes. This is a first for an Open.
Even with practice rounds, golfers and caddies can't lay down a solid strategy. Many golfers acknowledge that this is the type of course that requires a lot of fieldwork and course knowledge.
To my knowledge, Jordan Spieth's caddy has more experience on this course than anyone else in the field. He's played it many times. In fact, while teaching math to 6th graders in Washington, Michael Greller (Spieth's caddy) worked as a caddy for Chambers Bay. He did this for years.
Greller also got married at Chambers Bay.
But if that isn't enough, Spieth himself competed at Chambers Bay in the 2010 US Amateur. He shot an 83 and Greller was not his caddy then.
While he only played one competitive round, it's more than most players in this year's US Open field have played.
Caddy with local knowledge, skills of Spieth, and one more thing...Greller tweeted a photo of Chambers Bay on April 20th (he was there two months ago), are all the makings of Spieth win.
The recipe is there, the cooks just need to get to work. Keep it in mind. Some reasonable choices from 5 Dimes for the US Open:
Spieth winner… +805
Spieth Top 5….. +185 Spieth Top 10… -110 Spieth Top 20… -185
Spieth Top US player ….+500
I also like the tourney matchups…Spieth vs: Rory…+123 Lefty…. -164 Rose…. -139
Fire Away.

Could essentially "sell back" the Spieth top US Player +500 at a rate of +115. That Dustin Johnson +115 vs. Spieth looks like a sucker bet to me.
In my opinion, Spieth and his caddy have the entire field right where they want them.
As for me, I'm pressing...get Spieth +205 to win it all. And Spieth -125 vs. Johnson, both at 5 Dimes.
Let's bring this home.
Spieth for me.

Wow, only a couple shots off the leaders and holes left and are very makeable birdie holes.

Well you could make a case Johnson, Speith, Rory are the three best golfers in the world and they're right there

Spieth +500 top US player has been close all along, now my Spieth +123 vs Rory is becoming a tighter race.
Patience, local knowledge should prevail.

This is the ugliest course I have seen a major be played at. It looks like they are playing on a construction site. And the Fox Coverage is awful.

Someone is going to win it but they should be embarrassed to take the trophy home. Some of the worst golf we have seen since Bobby Jones time.

Spieth has him right where he wants him.
Time to bring it home for some afternoon drama.

Not sure what you are watching. He looks like shit. DJ throwing darts. He could be -10 right now. Back 9 gets easier. DJ keeps it in the fairway like he has been...he wins. Simple as that.

But there's a half of a round left. A lot tends to happen during this stage of a tournament. A lot of drama in fact.

Stat I saw shows Spieth at -4 for the back 9 so far in the tourney...better than the rest in the hunt.
Let's end this shit already.

USGA says Spieth just hit a 357 yard drive. All of a sudden Spieth looking strong, but still a whole third of a round to go.
Didn't anticipate Grace being up there, didn't figure on winning Top US player and beating Johnson in the prop and still lose the Tourney bet.

Spieth leading Johnson by only one stroke for the final round.I have 10 different bets here, 6 have cashed, Spieth needs to seal the deal here.
