LBJ does it now - fans like it before the game starts. I saw Kevin Garnett do it at Target Center a lot back in the day. Did he invent or does it go back further than that???

MJ never used to throw it in the air. He just filled his hands with it and slapped together in front of Johnny "Red" Kerr and Jim Durham back in the day.
