that basic health right and the Repubs in congress want to limit that also by defunding planned parent hood.

it should be the womans or couples right to do with what they created. THEY will have to live with their decision
and stand before God come judgement day. In other words, we need to stay in our lane.

In my state, there have been recent protests/rallys ( whatever you want to call it ) by teachers asking for more, saying the $50,000-$60,000 they make isn't enough and demanding more. Unions log together and demand more from their employers. So why is it wrong for minimum wage workers to ask for more but its ok for others to ask for more. Is it just because minimum wage workers are stupid and unskilled in some peoples minds. I have never heard of the $15 now movement doing anything illegal so why don't they have the same right to ask for more ? I have never heard anyone complain about the teachers asking for more.

McDonald's is following behind a few months and new deals being added throughout food industry to implement more app/payment options to bypass the unskilled workers for customers on their way fast to jobs that require skills. So in other words the protests backfired on the fast food workers. Guess $8 is gonna be better than $0 once they get the news.

I don’t agree. We always hear this argument and it never pans out. When I started working minimum wage was $4.25 an hour. Now in Seattle its $15, In Tacoma its $12. Every time there is a minimum wage increase we hear that it will kill all the jobs, yet there are far more low paying service jobs today then there was 20 years ago when minimum wage was $4.25.

peaceful protest is one thing....but walking out on your job to do so and then crying foul when you get replaced is another. I'm just saying they aren't really making a valid argument as far as what is really owed to a low wage position. I grew up working for the low wage too....then I advanced like is meant to do. I didn't fill out an application at the furniture factory when I was 16 and tell them on the "requested compensation" section that because the owners had a nice house and they could afford the million dollar building and equipment they wanted me to work on I should get at least $15 an hour to show up and drive nails into an upholstered sofa. my biggest argument with the fast food workers is that they work for a franchisee...a franchisee over years earns enough money to buy a franchise and lays down a significant investment to do so....then these workers come in and say because the parent company is worth so much that the franchisee should be able to give out more. And again...based on the job...you shouldn't earn $15 an hour to push a button on a machine and slap a wrapper on a burger I'm sorry. Same goes for a cashier at Walmart....I don't mind walking through the self checkout and swiping a few bar codes myself ...that isn't a skill it is literally a job a robot or a child can do.
