You still don't get it, do you? Trump has not earned even 50% of the delegates allocated to date. So he is not on pace to get 50%. Yeah, he's 60% of the way there, but something like 65% of delegates have already been allocated. He's behind pace. He might still catch up, not saying it's impossible, but he is behind pace. Hillary is on pace to get the nomination. Trump's distance from Cruz is not what's relevant because his issue is not whether he earns more delegates than Cruz (he will) but rather whether he earns the requisite 1,237.
