for the US House of Rep. beaten by Black panther
leader Bobby Rush & then ran & won the US Senate seat in Illinois.
So Obama campaigned 5 times fpor government office
before running for president. He was masterful in that endeavor but he
had plenty of experience, unlike Trump, in campaigns
even more than Mrs. Clinton who he beat. Their is no comparison.Comment -

#4309something must change. The US can't afford another 4 or 8 years like the last 16.
Trump is only chance to really change the system.Comment -

#4311I like that saying I admit but I just dont get why so many don't like Trump. I mean, I liked Bush initially and Obama also. But they both screwed the country after saying all the right stuff when they needed your votes. Finally you get a guy like Trump who could run as a democrat, is funding his own campaign, won't take a salary, won't spend a good chunk of time fundraising and playing golf, giving up his empire to make his country great again before he dies. I think you are underestimating him and his appeal and I really do think he will win in a landslide in November. One like we haven't seen since 1979. Maybe I am wrong. We'll see.Comment -

#4315Trump will make inroads into the democratic demographic strongholds of women & blacks
Trump draws the starkest possible outsider-insider contrast with Hillary Clinton and successfully tars
her with her husband’s sexual history. If Trump can somehow shed his baggage and impose his preferred
narrative on the match-up with Clinton, he can appeal to female voters. “He’s a masculine figure and that
will attract women to him,” said Nunberg. “It’s their dirty little secret. They like Donald Trump.”
Republican messaging guru Frank Luntz, referring to the year Reagan won 14 percent of that bloc of voters.
“They listen to him. the blacks find him fascinating, and in all the groups I have done, I have found Obama voters,
they could’ve voted for Obama twice, but if they’re African-American they would consider Trump.”

#4316Donald Trump believes there’s nothing he can do that would put an end to the loyalty of his supporters. During a campaign rally held at Iowa’s Dordt College on Saturday, Trump said, “I have the most loyal people, did you ever see that? I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot people and I wouldn’t lose voters.”Comment -

#4322Have you ever seen a candidate, or any person for that matter, so obsessed with polls. That's like half of his speeches. His life seems to be pretty much polls, twitter and speeches.Comment -

#4323He's a campaign master. Reminding people that more and more people are joining has a psychological effect. He's using science to influence the crowds in the same fashion as advertising.
What's he supposed to do, talk about the issues? It's a campaign there will be no meat in that...lol

#4324he's never been a politician, so no but seeing that he is new to politics (7 months or so) and seeing as the polls are greatly in his favour, playing to this obvious strength seems like a wise thing to do.Last edited by DwightShrute; 01-23-16, 04:49 PM.Comment -

My neighbor is a moron. Doesn't mean everyone in this neighborhood or this country are morons.
The PC crowd, which has plagued the country for far too long, are offended at just about anything . Trump doesn't care if you are offended. Neither do I. penetrate your feelings. Go Trump!Last edited by DwightShrute; 01-23-16, 06:29 PM.Comment -

#4328he was right as usual. There are a lot of stupid people in every state, including Iowa. The smart Iowans understand this. He tell it like he sees it.

other candidates? Don't get too cocky like your idol and start saying stupid shit to people. You could get hurt.
Trump sure is testing the waters to see what he can get away with. Now today he's saying he could go shoot someone in the street and not lose any votes. I guess he thinks polls are votes.Comment -

#4329So, it's ok to insult anyone and everyone without concern? No filters? Why doesn't that kind of rhetoric work with
other candidates? Don't get too cocky like your idol and start saying stupid shit to people. You could get hurt.

It doesn't work with others because they are puppets who need the money to run. They can't afford to tell it honestly and offend their donors.
Watch the video again and quit pretending it's anything more than a joke.
and btw, when I said penetrate your feelings, it wasn't directed at you specifically. Rather a general statement like this ...
no more snow shoveling for you today.Last edited by DwightShrute; 01-23-16, 08:33 PM.Comment -

#4330He's about winning. Of course, the polls give you an idea as to whether you are winning or not. The main question to be answered is if he is elected president, will he be dedicated to leading the American people to the winning side, or will he win everything he does for himself.Comment -

#4335That's because Trump is obsessed with his notion of "winning", whatever that means and at whatever cost. Except that's not what we are, or should be, about. We are about freedom, liberty, justice, the Constitution. Trump's history and words suggest those are mere inconveniences on his road to "winning."Comment -

You can win and be a good winner at the same time. Winners do a lot of great things. Politicians (losers) seem to keep on kicking the can down the road for someone else the deal with. Its easier to blame the other guy I guess.
Let's just pass out participation medals to everyone. Kumbaya.Comment -

When has "winning" ever been a thing outside of the wars context?
"Winning" is government that promotes freedom, justice and liberty. Trump's definition of winning is his bullying and boasting.Comment -

#4338What is this "winning"? How do you measure it? Who measures it? Is this winning wars?
When has "winning" ever been a thing outside of the wars context?
"Winning" is government that promotes freedom, justice and liberty. Trump's definition of winning is his bullying and boasting.
Winning is government being responsible with your money, protecting its citizens and helping the needy. Creating an environment where companies can thrive and people can earn a good living. Winning is less people dependent on government. Winning is an inexpensive health care system for everyone, not for the pharmaceutical industry. Winning is when government is less intrusive in people's lives.
Trump's definition of winning is most, if not all, of the last paragraph. You call it bullying and boasting, I call it honesty, confidence and competence.Comment -
