well, that is true. I'm wasn't really debating the purity of capitalism. But, that is a good point to make. There is a reason no society has EVER employed a laissez-faire economic system. That is reason is because of human nature. The system is perfect, people are not.


The point is the behavior of the society. Those countries get to play pretend, as is, largely thanks to this country's history. Socialism is not only against human nature but also a lot of animals. Until there is a need to evolve into it there is no need to pretend it works.

You need a mix of both, today's economy is not about production & capital. Its about sucking the wealth out of everything & giving it to a small group of people. Those that produce nothing & take the fruits of labor though ownership. Its perfect alright, perfect for 1% of the people. All the rest of us are just here to make them richer. If you don't tax away their unearned gains, were all fuked & the economy will collapse.

Incorrect. There are two types of profit - financial profit and life profit. One cannot be bought with the other. And many (probably an overwhelming majority) place higher value on life profit. If greed and envy encompass your life profit to a high degree, only then will financial profit exceed life profit in value.
