    Cards vs Rockies 6/9
I really want to take Wacha and the St Louis Cardinals here as the -120 or so favorite.

Can anyone tell me if Matt Holliday is expected to play? He left the game last night after hurting his right quadriceps.... Not sure if it is slight cramping or something serious. Holliday is batting .412 against De La Rosa and is a key factor in my decision.

Just wait for the lineups, what's the problem?

Maybe the line will shift a bit too much for his liking

Holliday or no Holliday just take the Cards. I'd actually be greedy and take -1.

Data is hard for me to find with any consistency at Coors other than bet the Over. On paper I have St Louis -151 but pitching is irrelevant 90% of the time at this park.

I have no play here but I generally hate going against De La Rosa at Coors. He has probably had more success there than any other pitcher in history.

EDIT: Scratch that, I am on Rockies +125.

I would be very surprised if he plays. They are talking about a trip to the DL, so him being back in tonight would be a surprise

I basically made it a rule never bet against the Cardinals if you don't like them stay away from the game

I knew De La Rosa was great at Coors but I didn't have precise record on team record on his starts until I just stumbled upon this:

Rockies are 50-12 in De La Rosas last 62 home starts

I never go against him at coors, didn't know it was that pronounced but I know he has lasted and won more than any other pitcher there.

Unreal how his home numbers throughout his career have been so much better than his road numbers. Maybe it has to do with him being born and raised in high altitude in Mexico?

He's from Monterrey Mexico - which is in sort of a valley surrounded by large mountains. I remember a local tellin me the name of one of them - serro de la sia. Doubt the city itself is high elevation but could be wrong.

Maybe the Rockies should scout Mexico & Peru more

Meh. Elevation of 1770 feet. Not sea level but only 1/3 altitude of Denver.
