Sonny Gray is a fantastic pitcher and has good numbers vs the Rangers. I watched him beat Yu Darvish here in Arlington last year. Having said that this is a divisional game and if Texas wants to make noise they know this is where it starts. Normally I am all over Gray but its buyer beware tonight imho.

Normally I also back Kluber on chalk days but I think he is getting too much credit in this game. I have him -135 in this spot but the poor Mariner play has made this one jump too much imho.

James I keep my average chalk well under -135 during baseball season. Some days it happens though and you like the favs.

Now that I think about it more....I do not like the Texas Rangers pick. I failed to identify Ron Washington who was the manager in the aforementioned game I attended. He is now the Oakland fundamentals video so this could play a factor to continue the dominance with Sonny Gray/ hitter tendencies/ defensive shifting etc. I would move that to the bottom of strength list and a no play at this moment.

just hard to have confidence on a team that has lost 5 straight playing on the road with a starting pitcher who is due for a regression
