1. Pittsburgh Pirates -131 Lots of public? support in this spot and for good reason....team is flat out better in all areas of the game in this situation. Scary thing is the line is dropping so perhaps this is one of those sharp guys know a secret angle that hamburgers like me do not see. Either way I am not scared and this is play number 1 this evening.
2. Cincinnati Reds -109 I see Hamels numbers against these hitters but do not kid yourself...Reds can hit some LHP....OPS vs lefty's good enough for 5th in MLB along with 11th in MLB in Runs per game vs lefty's. I know Cole is awesome and I want him to come to Texas so I can see him but this is dangerous spot to back him imho. Just an aside note....my method of handicapping has been horrific in games involving Cincinnati this year
3. San Diego Padres +119 Well I missed the juicy opener but I still have San Diego the favorite here...yes I am a diehard Braves fan....Atlanta is number 1 in fielding at home this year and the pitching matchup favors Atlanta but that is literally it....I'll take San Diego at plus money with the market for small.
4. Minnesota Twins -105 It's a lefty...and at home...probably the Over here for O/U bettors but I'm not good at totals, very small value in this play...I make Minnesota -119.
