    Even if that was true that "most are not paying a dime" for room or food, they are still spending money everyday on taxis, tips and whatever else and it cuts into the hourly. I didn't even mention airfare because I'm used to driving but for most that's another big expense. Only point I was making for Opti is that the cash games are so juicy it's better to play those unless you're a real tourney specialist.

      This structure attracts exactly the sort of people you want for your cash games. People like me with no real expectation of winning but just wanting to play. Top 600 is a reasonable expectation for a newbie to live games like me, and backing myself to do it at 10/1 suits me very well.

          Anyone can limit their expenses by eliminating luxuries, like taxis & restaurants, for example.
