Believe it or not, there was a time when Pinnacle had lines on this, and the now defunct TradeSports allowed buying and selling shares of the contestants. There was even a site you could handicap the contestants at that told you where the kids went to school, private, public, or home schooled, their past results in spelling bee contests, and their age and pictures, but they took the site down because they grew concerned over pedophile creeps.
Last time I bet on this I took +160 at Pinnacle for any girl to win, and a blonde girl from New Jersey crushed the field. If I remember correctly, the last 3 left were all girls and it was locked up for me early. I can still remember when the boy who was the chalk had this blank look on his face when they gave him his word with about 7 contestants left, and I said, "he doesn't know it", and as it turned out, he didn't, and he was gone. Those were the days when you could also bet PBA Bowling and AA Minor league baseball at Pinny and get your money in 5 minutes to Neteller and have it in your bank account the next day. Miss the good 'ol days of online gambling 2000-2007. Can you imagine the stuff they'd have markets for now if they hadn't been chased out of the U.S?Comment -
