There isn't a team in the league that is going to offer near the kind of money he wants, much less more than what's on the table. DWade can still perform in stretches, but not consistently anymore. Unfortunately, it's about money for him now than winning another chip. If he was willing to put some of the money and his ego aside, he could be a game changing piece coming off the bench for one of the top contenders. It would be better for him physically and extend his career. Unfortunately, he has too much ego and wants the spotlight, too bad he can't be honest with himself and admit he isn't the same player he used to be. Got to be able to adapt your game to keep playing.

          He's got bills.
And his agent in his ear saying he's a chump if he doesn't get as much as he can.
          His agent might be right.

            "coming off the bench"

Did you watch Wade play at all last season? He's still the a top 3-5 SG in this game

Now yeah it would probably be best to rest him in some games and reduce his minutes, but there isn't a single NBA team he isn't a starter on... Come on man.

And I wouldn't have a problem with that at all as a fan.

As long as it's only a 2 year contract or so. I'd give him 40 mil/2 years in a heartbeat.

Wonder how that would work. I guess they'd play without a PG in the starting lineup. They'd still need a couple more pieces to be relevant but at least they'd be an above average team when healthy.

                              He is only 33.

A litany of lower body injuries has hurt his career's longevity, largely because his game relied on his explosiveness.

Unfortunately he is not a very good shooter which limits his ability to still contribute at a high level.

Lawd help him is he goes to the lakers as that team will be a total mess. Kobe will be terrible and still hog the ball. Okafor will play dreadful defense and hit a couple turn arounds and then foul out in 12 minutes of play.

Nick Young will call in sick.

Is he not the player he once was? Sure. To say he's done is nonsensical. The Heat had a freak year last year where everyone got injured. They could have withstood Wade missing 20 games if every single other player hadn't gotten injured too.

In all seriousness, who would you rather have as your starting SG than Wade? Harden, Kobe, Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler... That's basically it. He's at least top 5 and arguably top 3.

                                "role player" lol.

he has no work ethic and no heart though. He takes too many games off. Guy is always complaining about something.

That being said maybe he would be a good fit for the Charlotte Hornets. Even though he can't play many minutes and he takes so many nights off that team can def use a scorer.
