#362k a month is cool for the 1st couple of months. However you will lose the incentive to keep grinding those 8+ hour days in a few months if still only using 2k a month as a budget because you are barely living at 2k a month. Need to be able to treat yourself to some good shit at some point or it's not worth the daily grind and pressure.Comment -

#37Another factor I am weighing in is my real life skills. I have a degree and work in business. Worst came to worst I think I would have no problem finding a customer service or sales job in another city either. Makes me think I can do it with a lesser roll as well.Comment -

#39The way you become a professional gambler in 2015 is you start online. You run up your winnings to the point that you cannot get enough money down to make it worth your while. When you reach that point, you know you might be a professional gambler. If you haven't reached it, you aren't one.Comment -

#40I agree somewhat. Online can be very tough in the US though. Wish I had me some pokerstars back.Originally posted by Buffalo NickleThe way you become a professional gambler in 2015 is you start online. #41Just not many capable of doing that anymore. Only the true elite have a realistic chance to accomplish such. Obv as long as you have any edge in the online game it is the route to go because of the volume you can achieve however i think having an edge in an online game these days is easier said than done.Originally posted by Buffalo NickleThe way you become a professional gambler in 2015 is you start online. #42You say you live at home. That's as profitable as it gets. How long have you been doing that? You should have been able to put away a ton of money in that time if you have been doing it for very long. You can knock back 50K in two years doing that.Comment -

#43I would not move to Vegas to play poker though. Alan Boston says he is going to make his living playing poker and he lives in Vegas. He is moving to Connecticut. Alan Boston bets $4,000 per game in basketball and he says you can maybe grind out 60 to 100K per year playing poker. His stakes are a lot higher than yours are going to be. I'd keep that in mind.Comment -

#44I make like 28k a year still have some bills and rent. I save about 600 a month into the bank. Some months better than others. I am going to play online and the Connecticut casinos to at least get expierience and try to grind out an extra few hundred a month.Originally posted by Buffalo NickleYou say you live at home. #45That's not very much for 28K. You are a big spender and that will not work with gambling on a small budget. Give yourself a little entertainment budget and bank the rest. It piles up fast when you have no expenses. Take advantage of it while you can.Originally posted by birdmanweezyI make like 28k a year still have some bills and rent. #46Didn't know Boston was still alive or capable of winning at any form of gambling these days. Way too many vices in Vegas for Boston so a move to Connecticut for him is probably correct.Originally posted by Buffalo NickleI would not move to Vegas to play poker though. #47Connecticut would be good they have really high taxes though. Rent around the casinos is like 700 a month. The comps arnt the best either. I would be playing sports as well not just poker.Originally posted by Buffalo NickleThat's not very much for 28K. You are a big spender and that will not work with gambling on a small budget. #53its a miserable life.
think about it. you will have no health insurance. you will have to work around degenerates. mostly douchebags at 1/2.
you have to win just to stay alive. unless you are a professional playing higher stakes, 5/10, then this is just too much pressure

You are not going to win much betting sports. That you can be sure, especially with a $15K bankroll.Comment -

birdy had some incidents in the past of stiffing/slowpaying sbr point currency however we believe he has matured since then
