Bulls were +19 tonight w/Nikola Mirotic in 22 minutes on the court tonight; -16 in 26 minutes without Mirotic. Rose and Mirotic are a good combination. Somehow Thibs hadn't figured that out maybe until tonight.

Well shit, the sample size on that is tiny as he's barely played. He's always played better with more regular minutes. Some guys are just not wired to play 3-4 minutes per half. Mirotic was gold when he played big minutes in March. And he has made rookie mistakes on defense, but he is more than capable in terms of his size, strength, foot speed and skillset. He can be a good defender, has been at times, as he was in Game 3. And while he's a rookie, he also has championship experience. He is not intimidated by big moments. He also has a great pump fake, quick first step and is very good at getting to the line. A capable and willing passer and quick in the pick and roll. Runs the floor much better than Gasol at this stage too.
