their lack of a bench will prevent them from ever making a conference final

their starting 5 is good enough to win playoff games

however, after those 5 it falls off. as a result they are asked to do so much on the offensive end, def more than other nba stars.

this trend over a long ass season tires you out. when you get tired you make a lot of mental and physical errors. thats why blake and cp3 make so many boneheaded plays in the 4th quarter. they are just gassed.

its no surprise the clippers played their best game of the series in game 1 when they were fully rested

doc is the only guy to blame here. he tried to play GM and really dropped the ball. he used his cap space (23 million) on guys like hawes who do not even crack the rotation.

plan now is to get some back off that and walk away with a smaller loss

Nobody to play at the 3/4/5 spot after the starts come out. And that's saying that Barnes is a "decent" start at the SF, which is being generous.

They have Crawford who isn't terrible and Rivers who is "ok" for 5 minutes a game wen CP3 needs a break.

yeah he def fell off. guy used to be a solid player on the lakers. the problem is come playoff time a lot of coaches give minutes to the veterans no matter what.

I don't know what you're watching but IMO the Clips have owned the Spurs this series. Even their shit bench has outplayed the spurs on the court. And you know that the Spurs are struggling when they revert to fouling Jordan consistently. Even though the series is 3-2 SAS a coin flip would have put it the other way (unless you really want to cite a Boris Diaw fadeaway 18 foot jump shot that happened to go in last game with 20 seconds in the 4th last game as POP's incredible strategic game plan?)

CP3 is a prick but he has totally outplayed Parker this series. Ginobli has reverted into his poor form with both he and Parker likely nursing injuries. In fact the only thing I agree on is that DOC makes a poor GM. If you think the series is over you wouldn't hesitate to lay -525 on the spurs to win then, when I think a better line is +425 clips since they still have HC advantage and have shown they can stick it to SA at home this series.

Who are are they going to stick on Kwahi? Are they going to ask Jamal Crawford or JJ Reddick to guard him? Spurs will run every play through the post where he'll dominate them with his size. For better or worst they are stuck with Barnes because he's the only one with the size to guard him.

idk. you could make that argument about most coaches who won a ring. can say phil jackson rode the coattails of the best player of all time, and pippen, another hall of famer

say he road the coattails of shaq and kobe, 2 more HOF's

do the players make the coaches? somewhat, of course. but rivers deserves credit for that ring just as much as any other championship winning coach does
