Seems like the police aren't in a hurry to question him, so I don't think his testimony will have much weight to the outcome of the murder.
Which makes me think he will be drafted tomorrow in round 2

the murdered woman's baby died tonight, so this is now a double murder investigation. this guy is pure poison, as the police would have zero interest him unless they suspected he was the father.

and when a pregnant woman is murdered, the usual suspects will always be:

1. father of child
2. current spouse (if other than father of child)
3. family member

so unfairly or not, this guy is basically screwed if he turns out to be father. even if he's ultimately proven innocent in their murders, it'll always be viewed as a character flaw against him.
