Forget the offense. This fourth qtr defense the worse I've seen in a long time. Don't think Houston has attempted on jump shot...just layups and dunks. Pretty pathetic knowing smith and Howard and the rest of the current rockets can't make a jump shot

I agree..... getting Parsons... and that huge contact wasn't the answer.

But, he does spread the floor and gives you a couple of easy fast break points with him in the line up. With him out of the line up... Dallas can't match speed. Even though he isn't worth the high salary... he does space the floor more... and does have speed. No other Dallas player has proven this since his absence.

The classic "addition by subtraction" game. The Rondo thing will probably spur them on to win a game or 2 but I doubt they still have a chance to win the series. They'll lose 4-1 or 4-2 most likely.

Dallas was close to bringing him back in the offseason too. More than anything it just doesn't feel right seeing him in red

in the NBA playoffs of old, yes. but be careful here. assuming Devin Harris will also still be out, a Barea/Felton rotation at PG just won't work for 48 mins.

bigger concern is the issue down low with Dirk and Chandler. Chandler's visibly had it trying to cover both Howard and Dirk's man (Jones/Smith). Dirk is dead out there, not moving his feet, not rotating. of course he's not scoring either. body language is just really bad between them.

Mavs volume jump shooting and zero penetration, cutting, or ball movement. no one getting to the rim outside of the rare Chandler put back. just looking very intimidated and bullied by physical rockets.
