Should be a winner tonight. Ace on the mound, Sunday night baseball, at home......what could go wrong?

I like you, you are one of my favorite posters, however.
1) Very risky business betting home teams.
Why?
Let's say you got the game pegged through 8 innings.
Cards get to Leake with 3 runs in the fourth.
Wain-o pitches lights out through 8 innings, giving up just one unearned run.
It's 3-1, top of the ninth, Rosenthal comes in for the save.
Schumaker leads off and gets on base off a Carpenter throwing error.
Votto follows with a slap single past the diving Wong at second base.
Now it's first and third, no outs, Frazier at the plate, hits a comebacker to Rosenthal, for a 6-4-3 DP.
Schumaker scores easily, 3 to 2 now, Phillips strikes out to end the game.
Final 3-2, Cards win, you don't.

Not a fan of laying the run line with the home team but have some Cards futures so good luck to you.

Thanks for the kind words. I follow your MLB thread and often tail in silence. You sure know your stuff.
I remember recently you explaining exactly the above scenario, I just totally forgot about it and didn't put into account STL not having the same at bats. The bet is already placed, so its too late now. Good luck to me I guess. But best of luck to you the rest of the season!

Lesson learned men. I need to remember this tidbit about not laying the -1.5 on home teams.
Im just not very good at MLB.

Yeah, this is one of those no-win situations; I don't want to lay 2:1 odds but I figured St. Louis would win. Laying +1.5 on Cincinnati was too much juice and I didn't think that Cincinnati would win.
So I played the -1.5, as well. I still don't think it was a bad bet under the circumstances; you just can't win them all...
