Read a book for once dummy. Easter is about the ressurection of Jesus Christ for Christians. Pagans had a festival every month, Jesus was crucified on the cross and rose as prophesized 3 days later. He appeared to over 500 people after his resurection. 99% of scholars acknowledge the historicity of Easter, and the story of Jesus being killed on the cross for claiming to be the Son of God.

Catholic priests can be married and become a priest. They can't become a priest and marry because they are married to the Church, and if you are a servant of God you can fullfill your vocation and devotion more fully by being celibate.
