Amen brotha! If you are going to Vegas, do it right. If I want low budget, I can go to Shreveport and get much better perks than the Vegas run down places. Rooms and food are both free there.

About 10 years ago I took a voluntary bump on an AA flight out of Vegas. They had overbooked, and anyone willing to fly out the next morning got $300 voucher, dinner, and a free room.

The hotel they put you up at was Terribles.

All in all, I don't remember it being that bad. Certainly not on par with a strip hotel, but about like a nicer holiday inn in any decent sized town.

Don't remember where we ate. I'm sure it sucked

"Nicer Holiday Inn" might be a stretch but a basic clean room is fair assessment. They have remodelled rooms fairly recently since the last time I stayed there so the level is probably up some.
